Pickled green beans are another way to enjoy nature's goodness. Pickled green beans are high in fiber and essential nutrients.
Pickled green beans are great as a healthy snack, as a drink garnish, in salads or as an ingredient in many recipes.
Pickled green beans are usually processed using a vinegar base. Many ingredients can be added such as hot spices, onions, etc. to enhance and add to the great green bean flavor.
Here is a recipe for those that would like to do the work themselves:
2 pounds of fresh green beans
4 cloves garlic
4 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 cups white vinegar
2 1/2 cups water
Wash and trim green beans. Place beans in a steamer over boiling water and cook until tender. Pack beans into jars. Bring all of the other ingredients to a boil and pour over beans. Let cool and refrigerate.
Or we sell a spicy pickled green bean on our web store at Long Lake Specialty Foods that is second to none.
