Pickled Asparagus

Asparagus starts as a tiny black seed that comes from the fern of a mature asparagus plant. Asparagus plants take 7-10 years to mature. Asparagus roots grow fresh asparagus spears each year. Asparagus is picked by hand and shipped fresh to grocery stores and farm markets.

Pickled asparagus is prepared much like any other pickled food in a vinegar base. Pickled asparagus is great right out of the jar, as a drink garnish or in a great snack.

Pickled asparagus is high in fiber, nutrients and vitamins. It is a great, healthy snack alternative. Try some wrapped in thin sliced meat with cream cheese.
